Is this IQ test scientifically valid?
IQScore uses 36 questions drawn from established cognitive assessment frameworks covering spatial, numerical, logical, and applied reasoning. Your performance is mapped onto the standard IQ scale (mean 100, standard deviation 15) to produce an estimated score. While not a clinical assessment, it gives a useful estimate of your cognitive ability.
How long does the test take?
The test consists of 36 questions with a single 25-minute total time limit. Work at your own pace, the timer runs continuously across all questions. Most people finish well within the time. If the timer reaches zero, whatever answers you have given are submitted automatically.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Your IQ score is completely free, no registration, no email required. The optional paid extras use Stripe for payment but require no account creation either.
Are there any paid options, and what do they include?
Yes, and both are completely optional. Your IQ score, percentile and four-domain breakdown are free and complete on their own, with nothing held back. For those who want to go deeper there are two one-time options: the Answer Breakdown at $1.99 shows the correct answer to every question with a plain-English explanation of each, and the full report at $4.99 adds an 8-section written analysis of your strengths and weaknesses, ways to raise your score, and a downloadable PDF. There is no obligation to buy either, and plenty of people never do.
Are there any hidden fees, recurring charges, or subscriptions?
No. Both paid options are a single one-time payment, $1.99 for the Answer Breakdown or $4.99 for the full report, charged once and never again. IQScore has no subscriptions and no recurring billing anywhere on the site, and we never will. We know online IQ tests have a reputation for surprise charges, so being completely upfront about this matters to us.
How accurate is the score?
Online IQ estimates carry a standard margin of ±7–10 points, a measurement reality that applies to all uncontrolled testing environments, including premium-priced competitors. For a clinically validated result recognised for academic or legal purposes, consult a licensed psychologist. IQScore gives you a reliable baseline for personal insight.
